Presented by the Johns Hopkins University and the Baltimore School for the Arts, the Saul Zaentz High School Film Festival rewards the most exciting work by high school filmmakers from around the world. We are committed to finding the filmmakers of tomorrow, bringing them to Baltimore, and showcasing their work on the main screens at the historic Parkway Theatre and the Charles Theatre. We offer cash prizes for Best of the Festival, Best Comedic Short, Best Dramatic Short, Best Documentary Short, Best Animated Short, Best Experimental Short, Best Short With a Budget Under $250, and an Audience Choice Award. Located in the heart of Maryland, we will also have a special screening and special prizes for all of our MD filmmakers.(MD filmmakers will also be considered for main festival prizes.)

Films should not have excessive violence and cursing and a running time of 12 minutes or less. All copyrighted music and images must be licensed.
